Hernando Rivera, colimense seleccionado en el National Geographic Photo Contest 2018

El fotógrafo Hernando Rivera, originario de la Ciudad de México, pero radicado en Colima desde que tenía un año de edad, con su imagen denominada “Estática nocturna” fue seleccionado como una de las 50 fotografías ganadoras del National Geographic Photo Contest 2018, siendo la única fotografía hecha en México.

Rivera señaló que en este concurso internacional participaron cerca de 2 millones y medio de personas de todo el mundo; en “Estática nocturna”, tomada el 26 de enero de 2017, se observa una composición creada en los campos de caña en el municipio de Cuauhtémoc, muy cerca de Montitlán, en donde se muestra una erupción del Volcán de Fuego de Colima, que es el más activo  en México.

“Se venían presentando diferentes erupciones durante una semana  y media antes de tomar esa imagen y estuve yendo a cazar la actividad; logré la composición que me gustó, esperé y llegó el momento y lo sorprendente de esto, que es lo me dijo la gente de National Geographic,  es que el equipo con el que se consiguió la fotografía es de gama baja, además del momento y el impacto de la foto”, aseguró Rivera Cervantes, quien es diseñador gráfico de profesión.

Afirmó que se dedica a captar la naturaleza y los paisajes porque le encanta Colima, ya que la entidad es sinónimo de biodiversidad y es un paraíso de México porque tiene playas, montañas, bosques y un volcán activo.

Por último confesó que desde que era niño le gustaba observar los fenómenos hidrometeorológicos, las tormentas eléctricas y la actividad volcánica, que observaba a través de la ventana de su recámara.

“Siempre me apasionó la naturaleza, las aves, los amaneceres y atardeceres, pero nunca tuve una cámara fotográfica hasta hace cuatro años y medio y sobre todo, me atraía la fotografía nocturna”, expresó el fotógrafo reconocido por National Geographic.

En la imagen, Hernando Rivera muestra la imagen “Estática nocturna” al gobernador, José Ignacio Peralta Sánchez.
