El internet gratuito ya es una realidad en la administración municipal de Griselda Martínez, que ha invertido alrededor de 3 millones de pesos para llevar internet gratuito a niños y jóvenes de 14 comunidades rurales, luego vendrá una segunda etapa para cubrir todo el medio rural del municipio de Manzanillo.
La alcaldesa informó que más de 7 mil habitantes tendrán conectividad a través de la red abierta y gratuita de wifi llamada “POR AMOR A MANZANILLO”, con 150 metros de alcance en las plazas o jardines de las localidades beneficiadas.
“Informarles que después de hacer grandes esfuerzos primeramente para poder destinar recursos y luego todo el trabajo que se ha tenido a través del personal de las direcciones municipales de Sistemas Computacionales – ingenieros encargados de colocar el equipamiento de última tecnología-, Obras Públicas -encargados de construir las bases de las antenas- y Dirección de Desarrollo Rural -haciendo el contacto con las autoridades ejidales para brindar un espacio para la instalación del equipo; destacó la presidenta municipal.
Las comunidades rurales beneficiadas con internet gratuito en la primera etapa son: La Rosa, San José de Lumber, Veladero de Camotlán, Puertecito de Lajas, Punta de Agua, Canoas, Camichín, Llanito de La Marina, Ciruelito de la Marina, Cedros, El Huizcolote, la Delegación de Jalipa, Camotlán de Miraflores y el Ejido Fco. Villa.
Con estas acciones, la presente administración municipal reduce la brecha de desigualdad tecnológica y sigue garantizando el derecho y acceso a la información de la población manzanillense.
