Las y los diputados de la LX Legislatura del H. Congreso del Estado de Colima aprobaron en sesión del miércoles una reforma a la Ley de Educación estatal, en su artículo 11, apartado 1, fracción IV, para establecer que las escuelas incorporadas a la Secretaría de Educación y Cultura, deban incluir acciones encaminadas a la separación, reutilización y reciclado de los residuos de conformidad con la Ley General para la Prevención y Gestión Integral de los Residuos; así como promover la educación ambiental en los educandos para controlar y separar los residuos desde la casa.
Dicha reforma fue propuesta por el diputado Alfredo Álvarez y dictaminada por la Comisión de Estudios Legislativos y Puntos Constitucionales, así como por la de Educación, Cultura, Ciencia y Tecnología.
La propia ley, en su artículo 11, apartado 1, fracción IV, señala que “el respeto y cuidado al medio ambiente, con la constante orientación hacia la sostenibilidad, con el fin de comprender y asimilar la interrelación con la naturaleza y de los temas sociales, ambientales y económicos, así como su responsabilidad para la ejecución de acciones que garanticen su preservación y promuevan estilos de vida sostenibles”.
Por lo anterior, se plantea que la educación que se imparta en Colima debe fomentar el respeto y el cuidado al medio ambiente, con miras hacia la sostenibilidad, con el propósito de identificar su importancia en los diversos factores del mundo actual, así como su responsabilidad respecto de las acciones que aseguren la conservación del medio ambiente.
El dictamen también incluyó una reforma propuesta por la diputada Myriam Gudiño Espíndola, en la que plantea la modificación diversas disposiciones de la ley antes mencionada y que tiene como finalidad actualizar la legislación, en cuanto a la homologación del nombre de la Secretaría de Educación y Cultura a la Ley de Educación Estatal, por certeza jurídica y técnica legislativa.
La reforma fue aprobada por unanimidad, por lo que entrará en vigor al día siguiente de su publicación en el Periódico Oficial “El Estado de Colima”.

Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids.
